Newport Sings was established as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in August 2019.

The mission of Newport Sings is to provide opportunities for youth and adults to discover the JOY and POWER of singing in community with others.

There is no audition to join Newport Sings programs. All programs are either free or offered on a sliding scale fee.

At Aquidneck Singers’ end-of-season potluck celebration, we reflected on the magic of this year’s Song Fest season and the powerful sense of belonging created through music, listening, and showing up for one another.
There were happy tears as singers shared words that captured the spirit of the group:

“Every Tuesday is a gift,” said Sarah.

“We’re this beautiful tapestry of every single person that you’ve touched,” said Rose Marie.

Elizabeth reflected on how the world can change if we simply show up, listen, contribute, and create community like this together. If everyone could experience something like this… wow. 💫

So grateful for this tapestry of voices, hearts, friendships, and songs. When we sing together, it feels like coming home.

The Aquidneck Singers have been joyfully preparing “Songbird” this week, letting the beauty of this gorgeous spring weather inspire every note.

With open hearts and voices full of energy, we’ve been singing with true gusto. We are embracing the warmth, the light, and the feeling of new beginnings that this season brings.
