Accompanist

AFTERNOON / EVENING ACCOMPANIST (Part-time)

Newport Sings is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic pianist to accompany after-school programs and evening rehearsals. Newport Sings programs are offered at various locations on Aquidneck Island. More information at www.newportsings.org. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide piano support (parts, accompaniment) at all classes per session / semester. 

• Accompany ensemble at all performances and community events (as needed).

• Come to rehearsals prepared with music learned. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should be enthusiastic and joyful, reliable and professional, work collaboratively with members of the Newport Sings team and students, and be a positive role model for the singers. 

• Minimum of 2 years of experience accompanying choruses.

The rate is $45 - 48 per hour. The performance rate is $150 per concert/performance.
